About Me
Hi, I’m Danielle—poet, educator, and facilitator of spaces where writing becomes a bridge back to ourselves and each other. I’m the author of If Adam Picked the Apple (North Meridian Review, 2024) and a Pushcart Prize recipient, with poems published in LitBop, North Meridian Review, Anti-Heroin Chic, and more.
With a BA in English and years of experience in the classroom and beyond, I’ve led writing workshops and retreats for people of all ages and backgrounds. Whether in schools, corporate spaces, or out on the trail, my facilitation style invites honesty, curiosity, and community. I believe poetry forces us to slow down, to examine what we so often keep hidden—even from ourselves. It’s not just art—it’s a mirror, a balm, and a reckoning.
I’ve co-led Nature & Nurture Hiking and Writing retreats in the Smoky Mountains and on the Oregon Coast, and I continue to design custom writing experiences for individuals, groups, and organizations. I live in St. Louis, Missouri with my son and our sweet pup, and I’m currently working on my second poetry collection.
You can read more of my longer-form work over on Substack at The Understory.
